Set your intention. Commit to have your best year yet. Ask yourself what does this look like? What does it feel like? Take some time to understand where you are and where you would like to be. Set some goals or define your purpose. Be purpose driven or goal driven, either way just get clear about what success this year looks like for you personally.
We have a tendency to overcomplicate things. Take on too much, spend time with people we shouldn’t and spread ourselves too thin. Take some time to reflect on what and who is really important to you and then streamline your life. Make it simple, beautiful, and free of complexity. Remove the clutter and junk; refuse to invest your time and energy into un-resourceful relationships or situations. Also refrain from negative talk and actions as these ultimately lead to complexity.
Once you understand what success looks like for you this year and you have simplified your life stay focused! You’re going to be challenged along the way. It’s going to be difficult, well it should if you are focused on something worthwhile, but no matter what happens once you have committed to yourself keep moving forward and avoid distractions. Say no to anything that’s going to distract you from your objective. Meditation is very helpful when it comes to improving your focus.
Further develop self-discipline
Self-discipline is your ability to achieve something despite your emotional state. To stay the course when challenged. To stay focused on the task at hand. To finish what you started. To do what you said no matter how you feel. The good news is you can improve your self-discipline by completing things that challenge you and gradually building up to more difficult task. No one has ever succeeded in any area of life without self-discipline because nothing good or worthwhile comes easy. Just imagine what you could achieve if your actions always aligned with your intentions! Learn to push through resistance!
Develop a growth mindset
Have a growth mindset. Remember nothing changes if nothing changes. This year commit to personal growth and make it a habit to step outside of your comfort zone regularly because this is where the magic happens! Embrace challenges, fear, anxiety, and perhaps physical pain (fitness) and push yourself to your edge! Remember everything you want in life is on the other side of your fears!
