“Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.”

A recent study concluded that 30% of us skip breakfast. This isn’t good. It means your behind from the start…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. A nutritious breakfast is essential.

Breakfast is the most important meal  and  your chance to establish a foundation from which to stage an effective attack on the day. An optimal breakfast will give you the strength and energy you need, and position you to perform better.

Science has established that consuming a nutritional breakfast makes you more productive, enables better concentration, and ensures that the body performs better. Breakfast refuels your body and also mind  providing essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that can reduce the risk of disease.

A good breakfast is low in saturated fat, sugar, and sodium. It includes lots of whole grains, fruit, and vegetables, along with some protein. This can come from eggs or even beans. Including a small serving of unsaturated fats from sources like flaxseed, almonds, walnuts, and avocado is also beneficial.

Over the last week I’ve been experimenting with different approaches to breakfast and as a result developed the following 7 breakfasts based on a solid foundation of whole grains, fruit, and seeds amongst other things…

Guaranteed to put a spring in your step these are the breakfasts of winners, impressive individuals, and rumour has it superstar Yogi’s and Yogini’s…  Enjoy.
